I must first express my gratitude for the invitation to participate in this conference. In this regard let me applaud the Caribbean Association of Pension Supervisors and their partners, the Financial Services Commission and CARTAC for organizing this conference and workshop which has brought together representatives from some 20 countries across the region. This collective effort is important in fostering regulatory collaboration across the region and providing a medium for pension supervisors to address issues of common interest and concern.
